role: ux and visual design lead // hours: 100 // revenue increase: 80%
The Problem
Eleanor a popular clothing boutique was looking to expand it’s client base outside of their brick and mortar presence. With the vastly growing competitive e-commerce market, Eleanor needed to make it’s mark and create an on-line presence.
The Result
The website, e-mail and social refresh work accompanied with the design of collateral to promote partner events put Eleanor on the map and raised sales by 80%. Read more about my process as you scroll below.
My Process
The goal was clear that Eleanor needed an e-commerce website and one that the staff could be easily trained to use after launch. I started my discovery process by interviewing the team of staff to create an online strategy that would sell the most product and get the word out. After building out wireframes and various visual design mockups for home page sign off, I used Shopify to create the website, build out the store SKUs and lay the groundwork for strong SEO. The store already had a strong social presence which needs a light brand refresh but their e-mail marketing was lacking so I transitioned them from constant contact to MailChimp, designed and built a clean e-mail template that also linked to the key sections of the new website to drive overall deals and shopping.
