University of Texas | Mobile application

The Problem

The University of Texas at Austin had a mobile application that serviced sports loving students and alumni but it’s content and function ended there. They needed a new application that ramped up functionality, enabling students, their largest base to access more than sports results. It needed to be more aligned with their brand and latest design trends as well as reach a larger audience. See the case study discussing the final outcomes below as well as my process afterwards.

My Process

My team set up user interviews to compile a list pros and cons around the current application. We were able to break out the following personas - students, UT alumni and sports fans and build an experience that catered to each a la choose your own adventure. Enabling class schedules, practices, games and our well-known game center function made this app a student's mecca driving engagement up over 50%.
